June 1940. Radio Dakar announces France's defeat. The colonial population pledges allegiance to Pétain, an act that will have serious repercussions. Fari, Catherine and Hélène set up a resistance network. The fight for Senegal's independence begins, finally ending in 1960 with the election of Senghor as president.
