Fari and Alain welcome their second baby. The colony thrills to the achievements of Théo Dia, African boxing champion, before the first Africans begin to mobilise and demand equal rights with the white population. Sent to Paris, Fari meets Pompidou and Senghor.

Episode 4

June 1940. Radio Dakar announces France's defeat. The colonial population pledges allegiance to Pétain, an act that will have serious repercussions. Fari, Catherine and Hélène set up a resistance network. The fight for Senegal's independence begins, finally ending in 1960 with the election of Senghor as president.
