Algeria, the 1920s. After devouring a parrot, the rabbi's cat becomes a smooth-talker and starts questioning his master's religion. Worried, the rabbi forbids him from spending time with his daughter Zlabya. But the cat, madly in love with his mistress, is prepared to do anything to stay by her side!
