The dream of full employment
For five decades, France has slumped ever-deeper into the morass of unemployment. A million job-seekers in 1976, two in 1981, three million in 1993... and even if the latest figures reveal a slight improvement, the country remains stuck in a situation of mass unemployment. Yet, elsewhere in Europe, there are countries that enjoy full employment some even suffering from a shortage of labour. Report from the Czech Republic, where unemployment is the lowest in Europe.
Guest: François Asselin, entrepreneur, president of the CPME (Confederation of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises).
Presented by: Éléonore Gay.
