On her return from India and Algeria, Naïssam Jalal has released "Healing Rituals", her ninth album. On it the flautist and singer-songwriter, award-winner at the Victoires du Jazz, evokes the rhythmic trance of wide open spaces beneath the setting sun. An invitation to meditation, with her and with her musicians, on stage at the Café de la Dance, Paris, 8 June 2023.

Hanane Karimi looks back over her experience as an "invisible" Moslem researcher in France, in "Les femmes musulmanes ne sont-elles pas des femmes?" (Are Moslem women not women?), published by Hors d'Atteinte, a book based on her sociology thesis. It is her opinion that part of the feminist combat turns its back on Moslem women.

The heritage of Algeria and French culture... Xavier Eddine Belmahdi is a fashion designer who draws on his roots on both sides of the Mediterranean. Bring Back the Drama, his latest collection, includes his emblematic item: the karakou, timeless occasion wear reserved for weddings. He discusses the global debate on cultural appropriation and today's environmental challenges.

We head to Morocco to discover the Nocturnes du Patrimoine, held in Casablanca's historical district of Habbous. Report by Maud Ninauve.
