Kebir M. Ammi, Malik Belkhodja, Thierry Fabre
The story of Malik Belkhodja is one of feeling eternally torn. Between the three countries he loves (Algeria, Tunisia and France), between dreams and reality, love and freedom, the humorist's aim is to be a builder of bridges. His show "Maintenant" (Now) is on stage in Paris at L'Européen (3 December 2023) and at the Apollo Theatre (from January 2024).
How to create new hope and re-enchant the world? Kebir Mustapha Ammi transports us to the American heartland and to Algeria following independence. His novel "À la Recherche de Glitter Faraday" (In Search of Glitter Faraday), published by Project'îles, offers a reminder of Algeria's unique situation in the 1960s when it became a refuge for the Black Panther activists being hunted by the FBI. He is also the author of "Vieil Homme" (Old Man), published by Al Manar in 2021, a poem for Palestine in seven languages.
What causes empires to fall, or does the opposite and maintains their cohesion? The 30th Rencontres d'Averroès (Averroès Encounters), held in Marseille from 16 to 19 November 2023, brings together leading figures who try to answer the question, at a time when the Mediterranean region is in turmoil. Thierry Fabre is our guest.
#As seen by Slimane: the Blue Shield, making it easier to identify monuments threatened with destruction. #Atmosphere with the guests' cultural favourites.
