Ukraine-Russia: the question of Crimea

Crimea has long been a much-coveted region, its strategic position offering a chance to control the Azov Sea and access to the Black Sea. After successively interesting Greeks, Byzantines, Genoese, Mongols, Tatars and Russians, since the 18th century Crimea has constantly changed hands between Russia and Ukraine.
