( Season 9 )
Michelin-starred chef Guy Martin presents iconic products associated with France and provides an overview of the experts who work with them. An encounter with passionate food lovers without whom French cuisine would not be what it is today.

Presented by: Guy Martin.

The Lavedan

In the Lavedan area, in the mountainous Hautes-Pyrénées region, rearers, confectioners and pastry chefs perpetuate the area's culinary traditions. Whether in the hills or the valley, they skilfully do justice to these outstanding products: Barèges-Gavarnie mutton, Berlingot de Cauterets sweets and spit cake.

Presenter: Guy Martin.
The Niort area

The Niort area is a gateway to the Marais Poitevin. Along the Sèvre, we discover the environmental aspects and traditional products of this rich natural region. Poitou donkeys, angelica, a herb synonymous with the town of Niort, and goats all contribute to the region's identity.

Presenter: Guy Martin.
Le pays d'Aigues
The Pays d'Aigues

Nestling between Luberon and Durance, Pertuis is the capital of the Pays d'Aigues. Those working the land here have had to adapt to a hot and dry climate. The Pays d'Aigues boasts a strong local identity synonymous with olive oil, gibassier pastry and Provence's fragrant herbs.
