The Cévennes

Chestnuts, pélardon cheese and sweet onions are culinary symbols of the southern Cévennes. But this mountainous region produces much else to make a trip equally worthwhile. On the menu: honey from tree trunk hives and black bees, and Vigan reinette (russet) apple liqueur. A surprising and flavoursome journey!
