Sur les rails de France

( Season 1 )
A voyage through France to discover some of its most gorgeous and unspoilt beauty spots, aboard exceptional trains.

From the Alpes-Maritimes to Mont-Blanc

A unique journey from the Alpes-Maritimes to Mont-Blanc. We leave Nice on the authentic `Pignes' train, before wending our way through the mountains aboard the Gap-Grenoble regional train and crossing the Chamonix valley with the Mont-Blanc Express. Final destination: the Mer de Glace, thanks to the little Montenvers rack-and-pinion railway...

Directed by: Brice Martinelli (France, 2019)
From Auvergne to the Mediterranean

We discover the legendary lines that skirt the Massif Central all the way to Mediterranean. Our journey begins in Auvergne, aboard the little Allier Gorges tourist train. This was where the oldest railway in central France was built. We then catch a veritable gem of railway heritage, the panoramic railcar.

Directed by: Aurélia Michon (France, 2019)
From the Jura to Alsace

In the Jura, at an altitude of between 250 and 950 metres, the regional `Hirondelles' train seems to float between land and sky. Aboard the `Horlogers' train we traverse the Saugeais Republic, a principality self-proclaimed in 1947, then head for Alsace. Our adventure ends with the little Rhine tourist train.
