It was one of the Cold War's greatest spy stories, the Farewell dossier, which hastened the fall of the Soviet Bloc. In 1980, KGB agent Vladimir Vetrov contacted the French Secret Service. France, Germany, the UK and the US soon discovered that they were victims of a huge espionage operation.
