Going solo, climbing routes and vertigo

Having become popular in the 1980s thanks to larger-than-life characters such as Patrick Edlinger, climbing is a sport rich in extreme emotions. Despite the fear of the void, of falling, of pain; the pleasure felt by climbers offers more than enough compensation, driving them to try, try, try again, always pushing themselves beyond their limits.
