In the Vercors Massif, between the Drôme and the Isère, stretches a vast area of varied landscapes, shaped by generations of farmers and foresters. The Vercors Regional Nature Park is home to an exceptional flora and fauna, notably the griffon vulture that was reintroduced between 1999 and 2008.

In Normandy, this vast stretch of marshland sheltering a unique flora and fauna makes the Cotentin Peninsula a particularly significant region for wildlife. Created in 1991, the Regional Nature Park of the Cotentin and Bessin Marshes preserves and promotes this major wetland area that welcomes large numbers of over-wintering storks.
