From 22th to 25th of March 2018 in the cinema "Illuzion" (Moscow) within the "Days of Francophonie" will take place the Film Festival of Francophonie. Seven films from France, Switzerland, Belgium and Romania will be presented to audience, as well as a program of animated films from Canada.
The show will be opened with the premiere screening of the film "Jalouse" (France, 2017) directed by David and Stéphane Foenkinos. The film was nominated for the Cesar film award for Best Actress, brilliantly performed by wonderful French actress Karin Viard. Director Stéphane Foenkinos will personally come to Moscow to present the film and to talk to audience.
There are several premieres in the festival program. Among them are: romantic comedy "Rosalie Blum" - the directorial debut of Julien Rappeneau; Swiss-French drama with an exciting story "Moka", awarded with the Prize of American film critics in Locarno; Belgian drama, based on real events "White Knights", received the Prize for Best Director at the San Sebastian International Film Festival; the comedy "Tour de France", with the participation of an unusual duos - the legendary Gerard Depardieu with French rapper Sadek and the Romanian family comedy "Domestic."
Specially compiled for the celebration of "Days of Francophonie" at the International Festival of Animation in Montreal named "Animaze", the program from Canada includes a selection of short animated films made by French-speaking Canadian authors of all genres and styles.
All the shows are in the original language with Russian subtitles.
