The Theatre Festival of Avignon is the largest in Europe & one of the major festivals in Provence!

This is a wonderful event to celebrate Art with a capital A, from dancing to poetry, from theatre to philosophy...
The Avignon Festival was founded by Jean Vilar in 1947. He was a French actor and theatre director himself.
The 2016 edition will take between July 6th and 24th under the thematic of  -L'Amour des possibles - The Love of All That is Possible.

Every year, between 35 and 50 shows are held with around 300 performances. 500 journalists come to the event and write 2000 articles about it.

Happy Festival D’Avignon!
