This October, TV5MONDE have prepared a mini homage Jeanne Moreau to watch to your hearts content!
Famous for being the first French actress and sex symbol to have made the cover of Time magazine, Jeanne Moreau received a tribute from the hands of Sharon Stone in 1996, from the French Academy at the Oscars Awards. This was the highest honour awarded by the Academy for an International actress, in recognition for her oustanding contribution to cinema history.
Thanks to her many talents, she was able to work with great directors and actors such as Wim Wenders, Rainer Werner Fassbinder, Michelangelo Antonioni, Brigitte Bardot, Lino Ventura, Orson Welles and François Truffaut. She was also the muse of the famous film by Truffaut, "Jules and Jim" with his interpretation of "The whirlwind of life". Her charm and screen presence will leave you breathless.
