The eve was a resounding triumph for the film Les Premiers Les Derniers by Belgian director Bouli Lanners, who received 5 Magrittes among which was the highly coveted prize for Best Film. And for the first time two actresses tied for the title of Best Actress with Virgine Effira for her role in Victoria (by Justine Triet) and Astrid Whettnall for Sur la Route d'Istanbul (by Rachid Bouchareb) both shared the Magritte award for Best Actress.
