The closing ceremony of the 71st Cannes Film Festival closing ceremony took place Sat 19th May. The awards were presented by the Jury which was presided over this year by actress Cate Blanchett.

Here are all the awards and winners from the 71st Cannes Film Festival who were unveiled last Saturday evening. Francophone productions were still well represented in this year's awards with a special Palme d'Or for Franco-Swiss director Jean-luc Godard, who was the centre of attention this year in Cannes, and the Caméra d'or award  (rewarding first time directors' films) given to to Belgian Director Lukas Dhont.


  • Palme d'or : "Une affaire de famille" by Hirokazu Kore-Eda from Japan
  • Grand Prix : "BlacKkKlansman" by Spike Lee, USA
  • Prix du jury : "Capharnaüm" by Nadine Labaki, Libya
  • Palme d'or spéciale : Franco-Swiss Director Jean-Luc Godard for his film "Le livre d'image"
  • Prix de la mise en scène : Pawel Pawlikowski, Poland for "Cold War"
  • Prix du scénario ex aequo : Italian Director Alice Rohrwacher for "Lazzaro Felice" and Jafar Panahi and Nader Saeivar, Iran for  "Trois visages"
  • Prix d'interprétation féminine : Samal Esljamova, Kazakhstan for her role in "Ayka"
  • Prix d'interprétation masculine : Marcello Fonte, Italy for his role in "Dogman"
  • Caméra d'or : "Girl", from Lukas Dhont, Belgium
  • Palme d'or du court métrage : "All these Creatures" by Charles Williams, Australia
  • Mention spéciale du court métrage : "Yan Bian Shao Nian" by Wei Shujun, China
